frame grabbing functionality in GTK+?

Hi all,

I am looking for a couple of functions to read video frames from a video file or a digital camera. I have been suggested by the OpenCV group to take a look at GTK but I don't seem to find anything in the documentation about this very functionality I need.

Could you please guide me and tell where to find what I am looking for?
