Hi List, I am about to write an article about KDE's Kiosk framework and wonder if Kiosk will be supported in KDE 4? In KDE 3 Kiosk was generally supported by the configuration sub-system and also offered specific possibilities for different applications [1]. Will the basic support also be there in KDE 4? And will the application-specific configuration be similar? Or are there specific things to know for an administrator who switches from KDE 3 to KDE 4? Also, with KDE 4 it was often mentioned that there will be the possibility to use any kind of storing the configuration. Different backends were mentioned. Will the Kiosk mode be supported by the different backends? I would ask these questions on the kiosk list, but that one seems to be quite dead and also spam-flooded... :/ Best regards, Roland -- Wir können nur jene Fragen entscheiden, die prinzipiell unentscheidbar sind. -- Heinz von Foerster
