while i agree with the conclusion, i came to it for very different reasons 
than you have.

i don't think having a long discussion about this on the devel mailing list is 
either very useful, productive or healthy. perhaps bring it up on the 
kde-soc-mentors mailing list where it is more on topic?

i'd recommend being very careful about assigning such motivations. usually 
things are a lot simpler than that, and making such accusations in error can 
lead to a lot of unecessary heartache.
