Thanks, you summed it up well, and I pretty much agree with everything you
just said. As to solutions to supporting kde-3 applications, end users
will want this (at least as long as kde3 apps are around), so if something
existed to make packagers life easier, like a script to help make symlinks
as you suggested, that would be wonderful.
