Hi,
I hope someone is familiar with skim for input of non-keyboard symbols. I have installed the following on SuSE 10.2:
scim-1.4.4-23.7.i586.rpm scim-tables-ja-0.5.7-23.i586.rpm
scim-input-pad-0.1.1-40.i586.rpm scim-tables-ko-0.5.7-23.i586.rpm
scim-pinyin-0.5.91.20060705-31.i586.rpm scim-tables-zh-0.5.7-23.i586.rpm
scim-tables-0.5.7-23.i586.rpm skim-1.4.5-29.i586.rpm
scim-tables-additional-0.5.7-23.i586.rpm
and have set the variables below as suggested in the FAQ:
export XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM
export GTK_IM_MODULE=scim
export QT_IM_MODULE=scim
and I have skim working OK but I can't input characters from SKIM into KDE applications. It is working for OpenOffice, Firefox and Gnome Evolution. Is there something special I need to do for KDE to make it work?
Thanks
Murray
