Mine just contain two lines (comments excepted)
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

The word on the street is that the auto's confuse the network-manager setup, 
and should be commented out. I have not experiemented with it, so I don't 
know.

Networksettings should be left alone completely when using networkmanager -- 
in fact, I'd think it is a bug if there isn't at least a warning about using 
that module and networkmanager at once.
