- Subject: [kde] Help: have system bell as root, but not as user
When I have a konsole in root and I press backspace, I hear the beep. But not with a konsole as user.
In KDE control centre, I have not to substitute system bell for root. For user, none of the two possibilities (substitute or not substitute) work. In kmix, speaker is not muted.
Finally, I am not sure if it is a problem of only KDE, because when booting, I have gdm and I do not hear the beep I used to hear on gdm.
Any help?
Thank you.
