CVS msys.bat, (which is already in the pre-1.0.11 snapshot), has the
--norxvt switch to do the latter. Colours are handled by environment
variables, which pollute the environment; that could be cleaned up
again in /etc/profile, after sh.exe gets control, but it is a bit
messy -- if only cmd.exe supported something like sh's command
substitution...
Some users have asked for a user callout, to perform custom setup of
the environment, before sh.exe was given control. Earnie wasn't too
sympathetic to that request, but I wouldn't object. A simple `call'
command, invoking a user supplied subsidiary batch file, conditional on
its existence, should suffice.
