Ok.
I crossed this problem, by setting the executable at 
"C:\msys\1.0\bin\install.exe" to run in xp compatibility mode.
For being on the safe side, I also did the same with install-info.exe

Now I have another problem. On running the 'make install' command, I get the 
following error.
