How about breaking this up to multiple lines next time?
Well, if the apps do not contain configure, then running
it obviously isn't an option. And the only time running
./configure on MinGW runtime sources (or is that something
else?) is going to help you is when you're trying to
compile said MinGW runtime sources.

To answer one of your questions, I am trying to rebuild a couple of app-specific utility programs from Unix to Windows and later will run them under Windows. These utilities do not come with their own "configure" files. Under Unix, the build was done via ClearCase.
If you have some (MinGW) install issues, fix them *before*
you try anything else.
It would seem that you don't really read any of the mails you get.
Your so-called "answer" to my "questions" (below) doesn't help,
mainly because the actual content seems to be missing.
Stop wasting my time and bandwidth.
Provide the following and maybe then someone can (or is
willing to) help you. Until then, all anyone else can say
about your problem is "I hope you can get it fixed".

And for the record, the above checklist and the link Keith
provided also apply to the (MinGW?) install issue.
