The first step would be to adapt the GCC package selection code to work
with the integrated tarball, as a (preferred?) alternative to the
segregated packages expected at present. Perhaps we should construct
two package lists, with one including only the integrated tarball, the
second the full list of segregated packages required to satisfy the
user's language selection. Then, when preparing the build, look for
the integrated tarball first, and fall back to the segregated package
list if that isn't available.

Don't struggle on your own. Feel free to discuss any problems, on
either the MinGW-dvlpr list, or maybe even better, the MinGW-users
list. It is likely that we may need some advice from either Aaron or
Danny, and I'm sure there will be other members of the community who
will be interested, and may have constructive advice to offer.
