Why can't the mingw list help *what*? The tar that the OP downloaded
is outside of the mingw, and it's outside of mingw-w64. The only one
that can really help with getting that to work is the guy that made
it, zhou drangon.

Maybe MinGW isn't yet ready to support what is required to step up to
64-bits from a personnel standpoint. Cooperation is paramount. I
can't really say for sure, but I do know that the mingw-w64 project
appeared out of necessity, not out of malice. I'm sure that in time,
it can be merged back in to the fold.

No one really ever said it was...

I don't think that "asked" is the right verb there. You can attract
more flies with honey than fire. Kai is an extremely reasonable,
understanding person, and I'm sure you could come to a better
arrangement if you just tried a different approach.

How can anyone on this list support the releases that Kai or myself
made, or in this case, a third party contributor to mingw-w64**?
Heck, most of the time, the issues that people have are my own fault,
attributed to some oversight. But I'm learning, quickly, and I don't
make the same mistake twice.
** Zhou, I do not mean to imply and sort of undermining of the work
that you've done. You've been extremely helpful and supportive. All
I mean is that the tar that you made isn't hosted on the sourceforge
site, it's hosted on your personal site...
