I'm confused, too. After xmas is over and done with, I'll subscribe to the 
MinGW-64 mailing list and try again.

I missed Arthur Norman's response that NightStrike has quoted above... 
though I've since tried setting the path to 
C:\_64\root-x86_64-pc-mingw32\bin (and nothing else) ... without success.

I've also since tried the "-c" compile only switch, but I still get the same 
error:

C:\_64\C>gcc -c try.c
gcc: CreateProcess: No such file or directory
