It is true that MinGW GCC does not support SEH, but this fact is not
related to this restriction, which relates to C++ exceptions only.
GCC has never supported SEH directly, although it is possible to throw
and catch SEH exceptions using RaiseException() and __try1 in <expt.h>.

I'm confused. None of these pieces of software require compiler SEH
support. Are you talking about something else here?
