This is all I know, as I have not investigated it.  I took a trivial OMP 
program, and compiled and linked it without errors: it crashed at runtime.

I had the crashes on XP SP2, but I suspect it crashes everywhere.

It's possible its related to the packaging with pthreads-win32.  I 
haven't had time to look into it, but its this is on my TODO list.
