Mozilla Scheduled Maintenance - 5/15/2008, 7pm - 11pm PDT (0200 - 0500
UTC)
We will have a scheduled maintenance window tomorrow night from 7pm to
11pm PDT. The following changes will take place:
* 7pm PDT (0200 UTC) - build-graphs.mozilla.org migration. Build-
graphs will be moved to a smaller VM. 2 hours of downtime is expected.
* 7pm PDT (0200 UTC) - VMWare upgrade. The following VMs will be
affected: qm-leak-winxp01, qm-centos5-03, qm-jstest01, qm-unittest02,
qm-stage-centos5-01, qm-winxp01, qm-stage-winxp01, sm-mobile-build02,
qm-leak-centos5-01, qm-winxp01-debug, qm-vista02, qm-buildbot01, pear,
plum, qm-vista01, qm-winxp02, qm-winxp03, qm-rhel02. 3 hours of
downtime is expected.
* 8pm PDT (0300 UTC) - blog.mozilla.com upgrade. We'll be upgrading
the software running blog.mozilla.com. 10 minutes of downtime is
expected.
* 8pm PDT (0300 UTC) - download.mozilla.org database switch. We'll be
switching the database IP download uses. No downtime is expected.
* 8pm PDT (0300 UTC) - bonsai upgrades. All instances of Bonsai will
be upgraded - affected systems are bonsai, bonsai-l10n and bonsai-
www. 2 hours or less of downtime is expected.
Please let me know if you have any reason why we should not proceed
with the planned maintenance. As always, we aim to keep downtime to
as little as possible, but unexpected complications can arise causing
longer downtime periods than expected. All systems should be
operational by the end of the maintenance window. Feel free to email
infra at mozilla.com if you see issues past the planned downtime.
Thanks,
-Justin
