checked. so we have the kernel crashing sporadically 
if spca driver gets INT on different uhci and ohci usb systems.
so hardware problems are out or unhandled by kernel.

so wether spca5xx is not designed yet for the later >= 2.6.14 kernel 
changes or usb people have fsck'd it up.

we need wether a ksymoops decoded oops from You or one from a debug kernel build 
with source positions output to investigate this.

You got a fast amd64 as i see, so pls build and install one 
with all debug features enabled from vanilla (kernel.org).
