Hello everybody,
I have a Sony Visual Communication Camera VGP-VCC1 integrated in my
laptop, and would like to work towards its driver development.
The vendor_id is 0x0ac8 and the product_id is c002.
Evidently it's not supported by your spca5xx driver.
It's USB controller is by Vimicro, VC0321 USB 2.0 PC camera controller.
It's part of the ZC0300 series, but differs from the supported
ZC0301, ZC0301P and ZC0302 in that it's USB2.0 compatible.
I have no idea what sensor is involved, and would appreciate if
someone could guide me as to how can I retrieve this.
Furthermore, I've requested for VC0321 datasheets from Vimicro. I
don't know if it's of any use or if they're gonna even respond ot it,
but it took a few lines of english and a click of a submit button!
I have a feeling this chipset is just the same as ZC030x but with
support for USB2.0 for higher image rate. I could well be wrong.
Have you guys encountered this chipset before? can you guide me as to
what could I do next?
I thought i'd inform you of these, and perhaps get some directions
before attempting at USB snooping or so.
