[Spca50x-devs] System locks up

The spca50xx driver compiled and installed to /lib/modules/2.6.17-1.2157_FC5/kernel/drivers/usb/media/spca5xx.ko /lib/modules/2.6.17-1.2145_FC5/kernel/drivers/usb/media/spca5xx.ko lsmod shows videodev 9537 2 spca5xx,bttv I bought a Labtec Webcam Pro to use with it, and it is /dev/video1. So all seems to be as it should be, but whenever I start either ekiga, kopete, or spcaview, my computer locks up hard and has to be rebooted. Before I bought the Labtec, I tried a Creative Webcam Live with the same result. So, I'm seeking a solution. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. |
