Re: does a v4l2 test application exist?

You forgot to cc the list, re-adding.

Sure I can write one. But I was asking if a ready test-application exists.
The v4l2 API is quite rich, and writing an application, that tests all
available ioctls, controls, etc. is not a matter of 5 minutes. Therefore,
I think, it would be good to have a standard application, which one could
use to test either specific ioctls, or all available ones. But in a bit
more intelligent was than what ioctl-test.c from the v4l2-apps package.
Eventually I did use the vcam.c programme from
http://linux.omap.com/pipermail/linux-omap-open-source/2006-March/006653.html
adding further test cases to it, but it would really be good to have a
standard test-app, something like what USB developers use to test new host
controller drivers.

BTW, how can one visualise such a raw buffer caught from a driver, for
example, in Grey or Bayer format?
