or is it even known what chip it uses? The "Ultimate" doesn't appear
to be an em28xx device, like its younger brother, the "Pro".
Yes, IIRC it is different chips -- actual constitution escapes me right
now (or I may not have actually ever been aware of what's inside, I
don't remember offhand which is the case ... either way, I can't provide
the answer) ... but I do seem to think that mention of such has been

This stick is neat in the fact that it has a dual purpose -- iirc, it
also has 2GB of on board flash mem which can be used for generic memory
stick usage
