Hi Tobias,
Can the patches for versions 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 be passed on to the V4L CVS?
Patches applied. However, some manual work were required:;
1) I didn't applied the hunk that removed compat.h. This is needed for
out-of-kernel compilation of the tree.
The submission scripts automatically removes all backward compatibility
code, including '#include "compat.h"' lines.
2) You're not generating the patches with -p1 format. The proper way for
you to generate a patch is adding it at the Mercurial repository and doing
an hg diff.
3) Your patch should be submitted to me, c/c the list. Please, don't use
"Re: [PATCH]" for newer patches. Instead, create a newer thread;
4) The subject line should be the patch short description. The body lines
should be a longer description, plus your SOB.
The better is for you to take a look at README.patches file, under v4l-dvb
tree (http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb).
5) Since you've added a newer device ID, please re-generate the usbhid
patch, with all ID's that need to be blacklisted.
Cheers,
Mauro.
