Ok, I looked harder yet... First, to documentation - I haven't found
anything under Documentation/video4linux on controls, nor in the
cideodevice2.h. Where should it be documented?
As for existing drivers, under drivers/media/video I found:
ov511.c: uses a module parameter to set auto exposure
ovcamchip/ov????.c: uses a control, but AFAICS, it uses all private
controls just numbering from 0 in an enum in ovcamchip.h...
w9968cf.c: module parameter and enum from ovcamchip.h
cpia2/cpia2_core.c: static autoexposure setting on camera reset
That's all a simple grep produced. Don't see what could easily be improved
in the existing drivers?
Thanks
